Description: FAM 4-2 first flight, FFC, covers, Key West, Florida, to Havana, Kuba, October, 19, 1927. The cover has the correct postmark, official cachet, and backstamp as documented in the American Airmail Catalog for FAM 4-2. Unlike other FAM 4-2 covers I have seen, it also has additional Kuba franking, and an October 19, Havana, postmark for return to the mainland. Since the official flight did not occur until the 28th, and had a special cachet and postmark, it does not appear this cover returned in that way. Unofficial airmail or ship? Condition is as shown in the pics. The cover shows minimal toning and is in nice shape. Shipping in the US is either by first class mail or by first class parcel, depending on value.
