Description: Very Rare - Franciscan China and Gladding McBean “Sandalwood” Pattern 32-Piece Light Brown Dinnerware Set in Excellent Condition (USA Made).The Sandalwood Pattern, created by Franciscan Fine China and Gladding McBean & Co. of Glendale, CA. USA, was part of the Encanto Masterpiece Fine China Collection made between 1953-1965. Sandalwood is a dreamy pattern with graceful curves that’s loaded with California casual charm! A beautiful, mid-century set in a brownish-pink pearl toned color (looks like light cocoa to me), whose cups showcase gleaming cream-colored centers, all with a high gloss finish throughout and polished platinum trim and handles. The bases have the signature Franciscan Fine China; GLADDING McBEAN & CO, SANDALWOOD, Made in California U.S.A. back stamps.6 - 10 ½” Dinner Plates. 6 - 8” Salad or Luncheon Plates. 6 – 6 ¼” Bread & Butter or Dessert Plates. 6 - Flat Demitasse Cups (measures 5" W x 4" Rim x 1 5/8" H).6 – 6” Cup Saucers.Sugar Bowl with Lid and Platinum Handles. Platinum trim is not safe for use in the microwave.
