Description: This is a RARE, HIGH END TECHNICS SL-PS7 CD player from 2000. INCLUDES REMOTE, MANUAL & REVIEW ARTICLES. They were only sold in Europe. None are on eBay at this time. CUSTOM PAINTED CASE in GOLD to match the gold CD drawer. GORGEOUS! Technics are legendary for their hi-fi components, and this CD player is a fine example as to why! MASH (Multi-Stage Noise Shaping) 24-bit processing. This CD player was the much improved successor to the Technics SL-P 770. Centre loading tray for optimum stability for optimum sound quality. Digital remastering built in (switchable) rarely seen on CD players! Direct track Access. Built in headphone socket with powerful headphone amp and adjustable volume control that doesn't affect the output from the player. The device supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW disk types and is compatible with CDA file formats. This player provides quality audio sound without the need of a PC or internet connection and lets you enjoy it with family and friends. In addition, the model utilizes output sockets such as Analog Audio, Digital Audio Optical, Headphone Jack, Stereo L/R RCA. I bought this Technics SL-PS7 from a guy in Germany through eBay for my CD player collection.I was looking for this particular Technics model as it was rare, sold only in Europe, and hasa coveted chip I did not have in any other CD player. 3D sound, Breathtaking Clarity, bass deeper than you think, perfect timing. It features the best of the MASH one bit DACs recommended by the Lampizator Soundbsessive DAC list: "MASH | MN64735 – 1 bit, MASH |> are the best of the single-bit Panasonic MN6476 – 1 bit." One nice feature of this model is it has an attractive metallic gold trim piece covering the CD drawer cover.I thought it was a shame the case was not originally painted in a matching gold color. So, I had an automotive buddywho paints cars paint the cover to match the drawer. We were careful to find the right match and to keepdust off of it. It had to be sanded between coats, primed, and receive several coats of the gold paint. It is beautiful.I recommend not putting anything on top of this CD player so as not to disturb the gold finish. There are a few smallscratches on the top (see picture). It will require 220-110 power converter for use in the US ($30).
