Description: Illuminated Bible Manuscript From 1230 AD - Psalm 21-35 This is a beautiful Bible leaf from a Parisian Bible! These amazing manuscripts are great for any collection. This Bible was likely written and illustrated by hand in Paris, France around 1220-1230 A.D. The smaller size of the manuscript, the compact text columns, and multiple initials point to this being produced earlier in the 13th century. The passage found on this leaf comes from Psalm 21-25 There is a very unique and interesting detail about this manuscript. It is the very faint blue miniature as seen in the photos. My guess is that this manuscript received this image from the sister leaf that didn’t have the ink completely dried. I’ve been collecting for years and have owned and sold dozens of Parisian Bible manuscripts and have never seen one like this.
