RARE MADE IN CANADA STAMPED SINGER FEATHERWEIGHT 221 SEWING MACHINE & CEDAR CASE

Description: Up for sale is a very rare vintage and hard to find MADE IN CANADA Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine! This Canadian Featherweight has a very rare "MADE IN CANADA" gold decal stamping on it located on the back of the center arm. According to The Featherweight Shop this machine was manufactured in the USA for sale in Canada. "Made in Canada" Decal Featherweights: Retail Value Approx. $2000 Per The Featherweight Shop: "They've only had one of these machines here at the Featherweight shop, and very little is known about them. This machine was made in the US but sold in Canada with the "Made in Canada" decal. Some of the parts on the machine like the motor were possibly made in Canada so that Singer could add that decal and circumvent import charges." This machine was professionally serviced by a trained technician and is fully 110 volts so it's ready to use in the USA or Canada without the use of any type of converter! Condition notes: This machine came from the original owner's family!! She sounds heavenly with her 110 volt motor and sews an absolutely beautiful stitch! This machine was a workhorse and shows lot of love and use on her finish! She has wear on her including: pin marks, shellac chips and blemishes, fading, scuffs, marks, scratches and wear & tear throughout. This is not a shelf queen Featherweight, so if you're looking for a museum Featherweight, this gal is not for you.This Canadian Gal was used to create lots of memories and projects! The gold decals show some fading, marks, discoloration and wear & tear throughout from usage over the years. The Singer Featherweight motor is in outstanding vintage condition, is fast and runs great! The motor belt is a brand new Superbelt from The Featherweight Shop.The absolutely stunning custom cedar carrying case is brand new and features an etched Singer logo on the front.The French Singer owner's manual is heavy oil staining and oil smell on it. Some of the pages are stuck The vintage Singer foot pedal was cleaned, freshly rewired, adjusted and tested. It's in excellent vintage condition.The vintage Singer attachments are in excellent vintage condition.The owners manuals is a new reproduction copy from The Featherweight Shop.This machine is ready to sew right out of the box! Motor pulley was removed to check for thread jams, any thread was removed and pulley was reinstalled The entire hook assembly was removed, taken apart and ultrasonic deep cleaned, lubricated and reinstalled. Bobbin case base part #45926 was removed, any thread jams were cleared, area was cleaned and base was reinstalled. Sewing machine timing was checked and adjusted, if needed. Presser foot height was checked and adjusted, if needed. All chrome pieces were ultrasonic cleaned Machine was deep cleaned & old grease was removed New tri-flow oil and sew retro grease were applied to all applicable areas The motor was removed & opened up for inspection & cleaning Motor commutator was cleaned Motor carbon brushes were checked & cleaned Motor grease ports were cleaned and filled with new sew retro grease The grease ports were heated up to ensure that the sew retro grease melted & lubricated the grease wicks Braided wiring on the motor leads were reinforced with waterproof heat shrink tubing, if necessary Upper tension assembly was removed, cleaned, reinstalled, adjusted and tested.
