Description: Please feel free to make an offer. A Rare Nautical Naval ship's speaking tube voice pipe. Voice pipes served to transmit reports from lookout positions aloft to the deck & from the bridge to the steering position & engine room. It directed voice commands to the Combat Information Center, Radio Room, Captain's Cabin & other places. A fresh to the Market example that you don't see for sale that often. A very interesting conversation piece. Just imagine what commands & conversations may have travelled through this. Approx 3 1/2" tall. In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. The pipe is made of lead, the fixing bracket brass & the speaker funnel is some form of an early plastic type material. It would make a great little addition to a museum or maritime collection. Please study the images as they also form part of the description & please do your own research. All UK postage includes the extra cost of being signed for, for added peace of mind. Positive feedback is always appreciated. Please check out my other items by scrolling down to my "Seller's Other Items" as I'm selling other similar items.
