Description: This BLUE STRIATED Pelikan M400 was made in Germany in the 1980's. Blue is a much rare color to come by than the more popular green and tortoise at the time. The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is a B- Broad. A very smooth and flexy nib to write with. The pen comes with the original box, outer box and the instruction manual. The pen is in mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no visible signs of usage, and there are no cracks visible anywhere on it. The nib collar is also not cracked. The nib writes well and the pen has received a service, which included thorough cleaning and lubrication of the silicone gasket with silicone. These M400 pens had a piston assembly that was made to break if disassembled, so a full disassembly was not possible for this reason. I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
