Description: Sweet! Vintage Ransburg (unmarked) Tin metal ICEBOX CAKE SAVER. Made for a Loaf Cake or a bread loaf. Classic Ransburg style handpainted flowers on one side. Vented on top, with a Depression Glass knob. The lid fits into a groove in the base, so it doesn't slide off. Just a tad shabby, perfect for your vintage kitchen. PLEASE NOTE! In order to protect the glass knob, it will be removed (it screws and has a nut) and wrapped separately and placed inside the saver. So you will just have to re-install it, easy-peasy. SIZE: 15 1/4" by 8 1/2" by 6" high including finial. Holds a cake about 12 3/4" long by 6 1/4" by 4 3/4". All measurements to the best of my ability. CONDITION: Pre owned, PATINA as you would expect, with age and use related patina, with wear, there are scratches, scuffs (esp on top) and fading, but overall, this is a lovely cake saver that you will be happy to add to your collection, and USE!
