Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich of Russia (Russian: Великий князь Константин Николаевич; 21 September 1827 – 25 January 1892) was the Emperor's Viceroy of Poland from 1862 to 1863.Konstantin Nikolayevich was born as the second son of Nicholas I and his wife, Charlotte of Prussia, daughter of Frederick William III of Prussia and his first wife, Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Photographer Bergamasco (1830, Sardinia Italy - 1896, Saint Petersburg, Russia) Born in Northern Italy, Charles Bergamasco moved to St Petersburg in the 1840s with his mother, as a painter. He started as an actor at the French Theater in St Petersburg but became interested in the daguerreotype process and went to Paris to study it. He returned to St Petersburg to open his own studio and after a few years became well known there and in Europe, winning prizes at exhibitions, photographing at many courts and receiving several decorations.
