Description: RARE 19th CENTURY SEVRES LOUIS PHILIPPE BLUE 1846 MARK HAND PAINTED & GILT HARD PASTE PORCELAIN CHERUB CUP & SAUCER Measures approximately 3" high by 4 7/8" in diameter (the saucer). The portrait medallion shows two putti or cherubs. Blue Louis Philippe 1846 mark on the underside of both the cup and the saucer. The cup and saucer both have letters and numbers which have been hand-etched into the glaze. Two of the letters look like 'AB' or 'AR' and one of the letters looks like a cursive 'L' Excellent original condition - no cracks or chips. Just one exception - a very, very tiny fleabite to the small gilt rim on the saucer. The gilding is in excellent original condition - see photos.
