He was made exclusively for Germany in a limited edition of only 1500 and offered no where else worldwide. Evidentlythose German collectors who were fortunate enough to purchase one of these are still enjoying them to this day as they are not a frequent if ever sighting on the secondary market. Standing 12.8" tall on real iron skating blades (see photo #6) this charming teddyis wearing an outfit that is a authenticate duplicate of what the early 1900s German postal delivery workers wore. He is 5x jointed and all of these joints function just fine. Evidently in the eastern section of Germany the waterways tended to freeze over and so the most efficient way to deliver the mail was via ice skates! These wonderful bears are a salute to and acknowlegdement of the ingenuity of the country and the times. This teddy has retained all of his valuable identifications and his mint condition is a testiment to his never played with status. I am happy to answer any additional questions.
