The lithographs are from 1869, 1870,1871 issues, being sold together. London. Printed by Ranken and Co., Drury House, St. Mary-Le-Strand, W.C. “Vanity Fair” Office, 13, Tavistock Street, Covent Garden.All books have gilt lettering and design on covers and spine, gilt-edged text blocks, Table of Contents, color plates, advertisements to front & back end pages. Each measures about 14 ¼” x 9 ½; set weighs over 10 pounds. -Vanity Fair Album. First Series, 1869. A Show of Sovereigns, Statesmen, Judges, and Men of the Day; with Biographical and Critical Notices, by Jehu Junior. Vol. I, Fifth Edition. -Vanity Fair Album. Second Series, 1870. A Show of Sovereigns, Statesmen, Judges, and Men of the Day; with Biographical and Critical Notices, by Jehu Junior. Vol. II. -Vanity Fair Album. Third Series, 1871. A Show of Sovereigns, Statesmen, Judges, and Men of the Day; with Biographical and Critical Notices, by Jehu Junior. Vol. III. Hardcovers have wear, separation to areas of spine bindings; some tape to 1869 volume. Pages have tanning and foxing spots from age, creases, tears here and there but usually small in size like from turning a large page, stains/spots/soil marks throughout pages consistent with aging. First Series, 1869, has one plate that is detached but present, the rest are intact. Two of the books have separation between the back covers and back end papers. All in all, they are still bound fairly well with all plates present and pages easily readable.Note that I have described the books as best as I can.
