Description: Rare Vintage 1930s CAMILLO GHIGO for LENCI Italy Ceramic Triton Figurine This stunning little "Tritoncino" was made in the 1930s by famous sculptor Camillo Ghigo for Lenci and was originally part of a figural dish with the figurine sitting at the edge of the dish looking at a sculpted fish. Sales records for these rare pieces can be found at Bonham's and Christie's. The piece is in very good condition; no chips, cracks or repairs or other damage noted. The rough patches on the bottom of the piece are where it used to be attached to the dish. Measures approx. 4 1/2" long x 4 1/2" high x 7" wide. An incredibly well-made and rare piece!
