Description: RARE Vintage Hudson Bay UNCUT 4 Point Wool Blanket Made In England. I found this blanket at an upscale country estate sale in Pennsylvania. It has been stored in a plastic bag and kept in a box. The owners told me it was not used much so it doesn't have much wear. The measurements of the blanket are 178" x 70". If the blanket were were cut in half it would make 2 blankets measuring 89" x 70" each. However - unseparated pairs are worth more to collectors of the Hudson blankets if that matters to you. The older Hudson blankets like this one sometimes have satin or silk bindings. The age on this one - based on the orange label is 41 - 55 years. I've tried to take a lot of pictures of the details. If you look at them closely you can see some tiny pin holes in the satin binding only. There is also a little "rusty colored" staining on the binding (see pics). It may be from water but I'm not sure. Also the stitching on the binding has come loose in a couple of places. The wool does not seem to have any damage or wear and feels wonderful. This is a beautiful blanket that has been well taken care of. We have been selling on ebay since 2000.
