Description: EXTREMELY RARE Piece of McCarty Bros High Quality Pottery-Beautiful Figurine. Painted ceramic figurine of a woman/young girl in formal attired with bisque skin-(unglazed). Their pieces with bisque skin are from the early years of producing. Signed under the glaze on the bottom: "Valley of the Moon Mccarty Bros" Titled "Debutante" with a number 149 Calif. This beautiful piece is from the early 1940's when Lea & Willard McCarty produced high-quality art objects that were sold all over the world from Sierra Madre's original pottery plant located on East Montecito Avenue, CALIFORNIA. So stunning as she has the look of a young Marilyn Monroe. This beauty stands approx. 11 1/4"H x 8"W. The pictures show its condition as it is very old but still looks extraordinary. Some minimal crazing, as expected.
