Description: This is a harder to find ceramic Mid Century Modern snooty dapper poodle sugared figurine. It is stamped HH Patent with the Japan manufacturing stamp. The wreath stamp on this figurine is from the import factory of Nippon Yoko Boeki Company of Japan. This poodle is blue sugared, he is full of anthropomorphic character with his top hat and cane. This figurine has the sugared snow-ball trim which was very popular back in the 1950s. It has little beads that are baked into the glaze during manufacturing. This figurine is in wonderful condition. The paint is excellent. There is minimal loss on the sugared accents, it is very difficult to find these mid-century sugared figurines with the majority of the sugar intact. There are no fleabites on the nose or feet. The top hat has a very small fleabite at the back. The ceramic has minimal crazing, one tiny crazing line on his right side. Measurements: 5 inches tall.
