RARE Vintage Mongoose Pro Class 26” Wheelset SR Hubs W Rim Liners

Description: RARE Vintage Mongoose Pro Class 26” Wheelset SR Hubs W Rim Liners . Shipped with tracking number included Selling a very rare matching set of vintage Mongoose Pro Class 26” wheels with SR nutted hubs, 5 speed Suntour Freewheel cassette, original reflectors and 2 original 26” Mongoose Pro Class rim liners . Please see pictures and descriptions for condition. Original wheelset I removed from an early 80s Mongoose All Terrain Bike . Wheels are shown on the bike in the pictures. Please note the bike is NOT INCLUDED, I am selling WHEELS ONLY !!! Front wheel spins 99% true and is in excellent condition, fully functional and ready to be used . Little to no brake wear at all on rim surface. No dents , dings, high spots or structural damage on the rim . A few small minor scratches. No missing spokes, all spokes intact with no structural damage. Some unfortunate moisture rust on spikes as shown in pictures. Could possibly clean up or polish most, I have not tried. Spoke nipples are made of a different material and are rust free. SR brand Nutted hub spins very smooth with no bearing play. Nuts are clean, rust free and not mangled. Would probably recommend grease as service history is unknown, but hub works just fine as is ! Rear wheel spins true enough to be rideable with no issues, but could benefit from a quick trueing. Fully functional and ready to be used as is though. Rim is in very nice condition and showing little to no wear at all on braking surface. No dents, dings or high spots on the rim, only a few minor scratches in some areas . All spokes are intact, no missing or damaged spokes. Spoke nipples are rust free, but spokes themselves showing some unfortunate moisture rust. Could probably clean up the rusta bit, I have not tried. Comes with a Suntour Pro Compe 5 speed freewheel cog in excellent condition. Little to no chain wear showing on cog . Rust free, but could use a cleaning and polish. SR nutted hub spins very smoothly with no bearing play . Very nice condition chrome nuts with no rust or damage. Hub spins very smoothly as is, would recommend grease and service for optimal performance as service history is unknown, but still working great as is ! Overall in a good used original and fully functional condition ! Comes with what appears to be original reflectors on both wheels. Not sure if they are original or aftermarket, but they are included in sale Comes with 2 26” original Mongoose Pro Class rim liners . In good used condition, but both are separated near the valve stem hole ( see pictures ) could probably be fixed or reattached easily .
