Description: RARE VINTAGE ROUND LOOP LEATHER HOLSTER FOR BIG S&W N FRAME 6 1/2" BARREL or SIMILAR. Offered for your consideration, a unique, leather loop holster for the big pre-war S&W N frames with fixed sights or the Colt Officers Model Special revolvers with up to a 6 1/2" barrel of a style vaguely reminiscent of the H.H. Heiser #407 "Bull Head" pattern holster.Large USA made "Mexican loop" pattern holster for the 1917-1930's large S&W or Colt double action revolver. Maker unknown. The full back skirt retains the tapered pouch with a single loop of circular design on this right hand specimen. Fashioned of a medium-heavy weight skirting stock, the piece has an attractive recurve throat, a sewn main seam running into the (sewn to the skirt) full radiused toe with seldom seen integral lace tie down attachment tab, and a normal tapered back skirt. Rare authentic holster is being sold as found in the Old West - scrapes, scuffs, tears, verdigris, patina, cracks, crazing and/or personalization representative of its age and use, if any, all included at no extra charge.
