Rawlings RPT-LT Alligator 34” Baseball Softball Catchers Mitt Right Hand Throw

Description: I have a Rawlings RPT-LT 34” Baseball Softball Catchers Mitt in Excellent condition ! This glove is for the RIGHT handed thrower as the glove fits on the Left hand ! This particular mitt was made in the Philippines and it is of the Reptilian Series ! In my opinion the glove was made of some kind of reptile skin ( probably alligator ) ! The glove does have an alligator like skin pattern throughout ! Now if Rawlings had used a regular hide to make this pattern glove they would of had to make several dies for the many patterns it would have taken to form the patterns on this mitt ! I personally doubt that this was done because it would have been very costly and the only way to justify that cost would have been to make thousands of these gloves and that didn’t happen ! There are only very few of these floating around ! Now as far as the mitt goes ! The mitt is thick, it is tough, it is fully broken in and it is flexible ! The mitt is also pretty heavy as it weighs 1 pound and 9.7 ounces and it does measure 34 inches in circumference ! So it’s a good size mitt ! In my opinion, this particular glove was made with a very tough skin and when it’s on your hand you are well aware that you have a fully broken in tough glove ! So it is a well used glove that is fully broken in ! The laces also are very thick and the glove has no structural defects at all ! There are no rips or tears ! The inner lining is fully intact with both inner pinky and thumb straps working and are in great shape ! If you have pitchers throwing at a high velocity this mitt can handle the heat with ease ! The mitt does have a very an enormous pocket , so in my opinion it will work for both baseball and softball ! Checkout the 4th and the 5th photos how the glove totally wraps itself around the baseball ( it totally swallows up a baseball ) and the 6th photo shows what the glove looks like in the closed position without a ball in the pocket while the 8th photo also shows how the glove wraps itself around a full size 12” round softball ( it also gobbles up a softball really nicely also ) and the 9th photo shows how this glove can cradle 2 full size 12 inch round softball’s at one time ! So this will give you an idea of how large the pocket of this mitt is ! As far as fitting goes, this mitt is a comfortable fit on my average adult size hand ! So it’s not a tight fit glove and there is a little bit of hand room in case you wanted to use a sting pad ! The glove does have a very nice double Velcro wrist strap so you can get the wrist tightness to your own liking ! The inner lining is excellent as the glove is extremely comfortable to the hand and the fingers all the way up through the finger stalls ! You will not be disappointed with this glove !
