Description: Frame Size: 14.75" x 17.75"Image Size: 8.5" x 11.5" (not including white border) Ray Hudson lived in the Aleutian Islands from 1964-1992, which is reflected in his art, and the books he has written since moving to Vermont. He has written several books either about the Aleutian Islands, or fiction that takes place there. His art rarely comes up for sale. This woodblock print is called "Fresh Snow" and is numbered 25/50, signed and dated 1988. The image shows a church surrounded by snow and mountains. The design of the church is a match to the Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, in Unalaska. The frame is metal with a dark blue finish, which does have a chip in the blue along the bottom edge. The back has the original framer's label from Soldotna, Alaska. The inside of the glass has a slightly foggy appearance (see last two photos). I cleaned the outside of the glass, so the spots you see are on the inside. The frame could be taken apart and the inside cleaned for a clearer view.
