Description: NAVAHO WOMAN “BREAD MAKER” R.C. GORMAN NATIVE AMERICAN GLASS TILE ART 8” SQUARE This vintage Gorman artwork is sublime. The colors, the shine, the heavy, smooth glass all contribute to the beauty as does the subject matter. Rudolph Carl Gorman (1931-2005) was a Navaho artist whom the New York Times dubbed “the Picasso of American Indian artists.” His paintings are primarily Native American women characterized by fluid forms and vibrant colors. Is made to hang on the wall or sit on a stand on a table or shelf. There is a tiny chip or “chigger” on bottom left corner and two partial fingerprints inside the glass area, also in bottom right corner. These flaws aren’t apparent to me from straight-on gaze. You can see the small fingerprints at an angle if you’re looking for them. This art glass tile is not designed to be used as a trivet. It is 8” square and heavy, weighing almost 2 pounds. It will be double boxed when shipped. See photos. My dark wood display stand is NOT INCLUDED with artwork. Shipped via USPS Ground Advantage
