Description: This yarn is a deep Mulberry color, and (in my opinion) is a 2 wt. Strands of different colors and thicknesses. 654 total yards. Cotton blend The strand is actually like a tightly wound flat little ribbon, Uses: Crocheting, weaving, knitting, tapestry etc., the creative possibilities are endless. I have personally woven and crocheted many items using reclaimed yarn, with no problems at all. Metallic threads maybe extra stretchy and loose.I would not recommend using reclaimed yarns on knitting machines. Each hank or cake group of yarn is from a garment that has been carefullychosen for it's colorway, feel, and fiber content.Each garment is properly cleaned and dried before processing. And stored in a smoke free home. All info retrieved from garment as to: fiber/s, etc is writtenon tags attatched to each hank or cake, along with the counted yardage. I do not straighten the waves/wrinkles out of the yarn,as that process removes the individual character of each yarn. Some hanks or cakes, may or may not have tiny knots, either placed there by myselfor by the yarn manufacturer.
