Description: This is a wonderful Dias de los Muertos Articulated Red Clay Skeleton. This piece is all handmade of unglazed Red Color Clay in Santa María Atzompa by Antonia Nayeli Vasquez Velasco, but is not signed. I also have Beige Color Skeletons (see photo #6) for sale, or go to my Ebay Store for a larger selection... It measures approximately; 12 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide & 2 inches deep. Atzompa is a town outside the city of Oaxaca that is famous for it's long pottery tradition. Pottery making in Aztompa dates back to Pre-Hispanic times. There is a wonderful archeological site of the ancient city of Atzompa just up the hill from the modern town. What a Great Gift for the Day of the Dead fan or a nice treat for yourself....
