Contains black and white illustrated plates by J. Charlton and A. Thorburn. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed, with a few small nicks and rub marks along text block edge. Pencil inscription to front endpapers, with occasional thumb-marking and marginalia present throughout. Mild Cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Plates are lightly tanned, with slight foxing to edges. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a subtle forward lean. Liquid drops to front and rear board. More notable rubbing to spine.
