Description: Red Sun At Night (2016) by Joseph B. Williams. SIGNED BY AUTHOR. EXTREMELY RARE - cannot find another one out there on the Internet. Like New condition oversized trade paperback. Glossy covers. No reader marks or damage. From the Introduction: Two centuries have passed since the first Kenner slave was brought to Edgefield, South Carolina, from Virginia. Their ancestors were original natives of western Africa and lived near the countries of Cameroon, Congo, Benin, Togo, and Ivory Coast, before being captured and brought to America and purchased by the Virginia Kenners. This probably occurred in the fifteen[th] century, making the Kenner slaves among the oldest Black Americans to arrive in the country. "The desire to reconstruct their journey was the vision of a family member, Janice Kenner, who desired to have her family history documented for future generations. The effort was originally thought to be a relative simple task turned out to [sic] a major undertaking."
