Description: This a Very Unusual Convertible Vintage Welt Safe-lock Telescope legs tripod/Monpod and it is very tall (96 inches) when fully open. You can remove the center 2 piece column and use it as a monpod. It has a lever on the column/monpod that extends it from approximately 32 1/2” to approximately 53”. It has a beautiful blue finish on the legs and center column and the finish is in very nice condition. it has upper leg releases on the top of the tripod legs this feature of this tripod is great if you shoot in sand, water, mud. having the controls on top keep the legs from getting sand or mud in the collars and while standing you can release the legs with out bending over. This tripod was similar to one made by Gitzo for the elements. This tripod will hold small, medium, light large format, video/movie or digital cameras. when closed it measures approx. 33” and when legs are open fully and the center 2 section column is extended it is approx. 96” (8 feet tall). You can remove the center column and use it as a monpod. The tripod and the head are in very nice condition. and the legs telescope in and out and they show very minor wear. all of the levers and handles tighten up. It comes with Welt 3way head with 1/4-20 camera mounting screw. Which has a quick release plate that attaches to your camera and stays on your camera. It has with side to side pan, and front to back tilt. Horizontal to vertical tilt for vertical pictures or for leveling purposes. again if you need a tripod for use in the elements this is it. It is very tall approximately 96” allowing you to shot over other photographers or other people. This is a highly collectable tripod . It was made in Miami approximately 50 years ago.
