Regina America 6sp 13-21 NOS freewheel ISO thread perfect for BSC or Italian

Description: A great find - a Regina America six speed 13-21 freewheel. The America is a premium quality freewheel which is ideal for that fancy vintage race bike you're restoring. The cogs are 13,14,15,16,18,21. What is especially nice about this freewheel is that it's ISO. ISO is not the same as British when it comes to freewheels. ISO is a thread that works perfectly (Class A fit) on either true BSC or true Italian threaded hubs. Of course, if you have an actual ISO threaded hub (rare) it is a Class A fit as well. So if you have a mix of hubs in your stash with both threads, this one is perfect! Like all old freewheels, even with all never-ridden parts, you need to drip some fresh oil into the body. We like Phil Wood tenacious oil. But never (and that means ever) use grease in a freewheel (The container your freewheel comes in explicitly says this). This is true for ALL freewheels. Regina freewheels from the factory were oiled - they were not greased! We have a few of these - the photos are representative of the quality you will receive. This is a wide-space freewheel looking for approximately a 126 to 127mm frame/hub spacing. Note that you can use a narrow chain (one intended for up to 8sp) on this freewheel with good results. But use of a wide space chain gives the real solid "ker-chunk" sound that vintage fans like. This item is perfect for that old Cinelli, Masi, Hetchins, Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL bicycle that you have.
