It is NOT for use in engines that have been updated to a steel roller cam like that from a later model 302 H.O. GT Mustang part, a B303, E303, X303 or similar aftermarket piece. You will need the Ford ignition control module or similar control and harness to use this part. It does not work with the later style full electronic engine control computers.
