The base is wood and has velvet trim around the upper part. The base also contains a music box that plays The Star Spangled Banner. The top plaque section is made of ceramic resin and is painted silver which makes it look just like real metal. It depicts the Twin Towers in New York City. It is inscribed with “Remembering Out Heroes September 11, 2001 on the front of the wooden base. On the back under the turn key it says “Designed by V.M.C.” And followed by a serial number. This is a pre-owned statue, figure, music box but is absolutely stunning. The back side of the upper resin part has some minor surface blemishes but is not visible from the front of the memorial.
