He won the Pulitzer Prize three times, two for his poetry and one for his biography of Abraham Lincoln. Remembrance Rock is Sandburg’s only novel. Sandburg described Remembrance Rock as an epic novel which traces the history of one American family from its 17th century English origins up to World War II as they build and develop on the idea of the American Dream. This item is previously owned/used. The dust jacket is extreme worn and in poor condition. It is ripped completely and separated in several sections. The spine of the dust jacket is missing. The remaining sections of the dust jacket are chipped and torn around the edges. Edge painted at the top edge, faded over time. Some scuff marks and stains to the paper edges. The book boards have scuff marks, scratches and are worn/bumped around the edges. Binding is loose but all the interior pages are attached and intact. Pen marks on the front end paper, as well as erased pencil marks in the top right corner. Pages 235-282 are bent at the lower left corner. Pages 275-280, and 983-1000 are bent and ripped at the right edge. Pages 1019-1044 are bent at the lower right corner.
