REPRODUCTION PRINT FIFTH AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM 1886 PRINTED NAMES #22 This is a reproduction print of the Fifth Australian Cricket Team 1886. The 1886 Tour to England was the first to opt for an all amateur team, and there was apparently ill-feeling among the cricketers selected, with the rivalry between NSW and Victorian players often exceeding that between the 2 competing countries. This division is perhaps reflected in the photo, where only some of the players are wearing their jackets and caps; other opting for normal day wear, and “The Demon” Spofforth in a top hat. The names of the players, Manager, and Umpires are printed below; this picture would have been taken in England after their arrival. Measures approx 41.5 x 30 cms.
