Description: Absolutely beautiful pristine tan/light brown Resistol in basically like new condition! No marks no staining nothing! Looks like it came right off the shelf! Sized at 7 1/2 fitting true to size with a 3.25” brim and roughly 5.5” crown, this hat is from around 1992 which is when Mobil had released their “Cotton Bowl Classic” collaboration with various other brands including resistol. Even though the hat is not marked with a designated “X” rating, I would say based off feel and texture this hat is above resistols normal 3x quality beaver hats from that time frame. The hat is very smooth and soft to the touch and has a nice firm feel to it making me believe it’s probably around 5x quality. I’ve had numerous hats from stetsons, to resistol, to beaver brand, and so on and of all the hats I would say the build quality on older resistols always felt sturdier in my option compared to their respective counterparts. This is a very well built hat with high quality material that is sure to last your lifetime and onto the next with good care. They are built tough and meant to withstand whatever weather conditions you put them through. Why buy a new beaver felt hat at over twice or triple the price when you can have a timeless piece of history? New hats aren’t built with these qualities of material and craftsmanship unless you plan on spending at least $400! Skip all that and buy a nice, like new vintage styled western hat from one of the most renowned brands of the western hat industry! If you don’t like the style, don’t worry!
