This estate find was hanging on the wall for years and years, when I received, it was found to need a new gear. We replaced the entire motor with a new one that has all modern gears. It has a 6 foot cord and measures approximately. 9in tall and 8 in wide. This clock can be hung on a wall, or can be placed on a desk or flat surface. We replaced the entire motor and this now has a new 75yr pinion gear. This clock should provide many many years of reliable service! This clock is in excellent condition and the chrome looks fantastic! This clock displays beautifully! The amount of flickering from the bulb varies on these models from clock to clock, to mimic gaslight. Please note this is not a completely silent clock. That is the nature of this clock, and the particular noise this clock makes can be heard even in the opening sequence of Back To The Future. It is not a particularly loud clock, but it is not completely silent. This is normal so please know this before purchasing this clock Also, please make a note this clock and the chrome parts as well as the black case look to be in excellent condition, but this is in fact not a new clock. Seeing this clock in person, it would be hard to believe it, but in fact it is approximately 50+ years old so please understand that.
