Description: Richard Tuck Studio Pottery Jar with Original Cork Topper, Signed, Indiana, Lovely Condition American master potter Richard Tuck(1948-2013)was born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. He studied ceramics and sculpture at the Fort Wayne Art Institute in Indiana. He studied with ceramics with Clyde Burt and sculpture with Hector Garcia. Signed R. Tuck on underside This organically shaped jar is glazed in a matte greige color with brownish gray speckles, a few dots and a few artistic abstract lines. Cork lid topper. Dimensions are approximate. Outside height with topper 6-3/4 inches, height without topper 6-1/4 inches, 5 inches at widest. The vessel and cork are in excellent condition.
