(60 pages) and weighs 6.9 ounces on postal scale. 1st picture - is the 1st page of the book which lists the Richey Business Establishments December 19162nd picture - HS Ranch history about 1874 - 75 two millionaires, Hubbard and Sampson, came to Montana for the buffalo hunting. They were taken to a bear camp in the Redwater Valley by Ed Marron. They were so please with the country's potential prospects that they decided to develop the camp into a ranch. Marron was made general manager and soon the HS was running hundreds of horses in addition to trailed up Texas cattle. Note on the bottom of the right page - 1895 HS paid poll tax on 8 cowboys, 222 horses, 2525 cows, to the sum of $1540.57. On another page, not pictured, 1904 Douglas-Mead, Glendive, new owners of the HS ranch, assessed for 50 horses, 4 work horses, 600 cows, 2500 sheep to the sum of $369.093rd picture - bottom left picture May 1916 Richey4th picture - Richey had its beginning in 1912, as a post office, 43 miles from Poplar and about 3 miles northwest of the present site. Mail was delivered once a week, from Glendive, via Bloomfield.5th picture - Homesteaders Homemade Fun and Neighbors to the South 6th picture - is my mothers note of the Retah Community area. Stating this is where the german people lived. And that my Dad knew these people. My Dad grew up in Montana. Picture, right top, of May 1915 of the Adams School, now Red Top. 7th picture - is of pages 58 and 59 of the book, left lists 10 businesses of 20 businesses. Another 10 are listed on page 57 - not pictured.
