As a Scottish artist Currie contributed a number of original etchings to the English Etchings series and is also known to have made at least a dozen independent plates. Based in Perthshire, he was also known as a painter in oils, exhibiting at the Royal Academy in London in 1885. Signed in plate. On watermarked laid.
