Description: Vintage Edition of "The Poems of Robert Louis Stevenson." Introduction by William P. Trent. Published in 1900 Stevenson is best known as the author of the children's classic book "Treasure Island" and the adult horror novel "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," but he also wrote many poems as well. He wrote a series of poems for children that were published in "A Child's Garden of Verses" as well as poems for adults. A lot of his poetry was written when he was bedridden due to various ailments. This book is bound in green leather with gilt decorations on the cover and spine. All the page edges (top, bottom, & side) are covered with gilt. The book is in Good condition. There is some rubbing on the covers and edges, particularly the top edge of front cover. Binding is nice and tight. Interior is in Great condition! Small scratches on page edges. See photos.
