Description: Robert Young Signed 1940's Photo, Facsimile Signature & Original Envelope to Fan MGM My late mother was star crazy in her tweens and teens, and collected autographed photos and other movie memorabilia. I am clearing out her home and going through her collections, and will be listing some over the next few months. Robert Young was under contract to MGM, and made over 100 movies. Desp[ite some challenging and well-executed roles, Young was better known in later years for the television roles of Jim Anderson on Father Knows Beat, and as Marcus Welby, M.D. He died of respiratory failure in Westlake Village, CA in 1998. This facsimile signed photo, measuring 3.5 x 5 inches, is still in the original envelope, addressed from Robert Young at MGM Pictures in Culver City, CA to her in Ft. Madison, Iowa. Photo is in nice shape, with a cardboard stiffener still in place. It's a great portrait, and the ink is still clear and bright on the signature. There is a bit of a ripple to the right edge, as you can see in photos.
