Description: Up for sale here is this recap kit for the Rock-Ola 54510-A amplifier. These amps are found in the Rock-Ola 490, 490-1, and 494 jukeboxes. At this point the amp is around 40 years old, and the old capacitors are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes replacement electrolytic capacitors to replace all of the old electrolytic, tantalum, and can capacitors. It also includes instructions to explain how to install everything. The instructions will also go over some basics for working on tube gear. This does not include any tubes or other capacitors or resistors. New caps are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL (to replace the tantalum caps), Panasonic FC, and two Nichicon VY to replace the can caps. You will get the exact parts shown in the picture. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same parts I use when I work on vintage gear. The parts included are exact uf replacements, except the cans are replaced with 3300 uf 63v caps. These mostly go higher in voltage compared to the originals--the new caps are 10v, 50v, 63v, and 100v. There are radial caps to replace the can caps, and they should mount under the chassis nicely, or you can remove the old can caps and just epoxy these to the top in their place. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions (with a link to download a schematic), but this is somewhat complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This kit will not fix everything that could be wrong with your equipment, but it will certainly help. Please see my pictures for details.
