Description: ROLAND M-DC1 MDC1 DANCE module ~tested working 100% ~ TR909 & TR808 Drum loops ! Has some scuffs and scrapes and marks with normal use over the years, as shown in the photos, yet nothing too noticeable as you can see. Here's the Roland M-DC1, more or less a hardware version of Roland's SR-JV80-06 DANCE Expansion Board This module provides "a rich variety of the phrase loops needed for the contemporary dance music scene, as well as voice, SE, bass, and lead sounds" (from the manual) Since that "contemporary dance music scene" was 1995, some of the loops and sounds feel a bit dated, buy hey, many of them have become classics in their own right. The loops on this machine are phenomenal, rich, fat, full and definitely head-nodding material. As it was popular in the '90s, real drum loops are mixed with the two dance staples, the TR-909 and TR-808. After the very generous offering of loops, we find numerous piano, organ, bass, pad and special fx sounds, almost all of which are fine-tuned to be used for dance tracks. Shortcomings: display is only alpha-numeric, very basic editing capabilities, but in all, a very useful module for electronic/dance styles. The LCD is easy to read and there are no missing pixels in the readout. This synth has one of the best DANCE music sound sets out there so you will have plenty of sonic material to work with. You will be delighted with these KILLER DANCE music sounds.
