Description: Welcome to some album history for collectors and those who just love the Rolling Stones. This is an original 1978 rare first-press banned celebrity vinyl LP by the Rolling Stones titled "Some Girls." This banned album cover #COC 39108 is a cut out with images of famous female personalities Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Judy Garland, and Raquel Welch. The Rolling Stones never received permission to use their images and hence were threatened to be sued for damages in court. Subsequent issues of the album cover were released without the images. Hits include "Shattered," "Beast of Burden," "MIss You," and a great cover of "Just My Imagination." The record has barely any noticeable surface marks with only some blemishes and is in excellent plus or closer to near mint condition. When played, it is very clear and clean. This original record has the cutout album cover with the cardboard record sleeve including images of the five celebrity women. The front of the cover is in excellent condition, with only AW initials in the yellow strip. The back of the cover is clean, with no markings. There are no splits in the seams. The cardboard sleeve is also in excellent condition. The record has been cleaned by hand, play tested, and will be shipped in a sturdy mailer for further protection. Play on!
