I do not know the history of it. This got rained on during our warehouse move and so the box has been discarded. There is some surface rust on the cast iron part shown in the 4th picture. We are having issues with updating listings and so I wasn't able to include an updated picture. It is also labeled, "Pipe ID 13.124 IN, Wall .438 IN, Max Allow. Flow Rate 148 IN H2O M. DP, Max Press. 1430 PSIA". The box was labeled, "Desc. Element 14", Line Si". I am not able to test this item. It only comes with what is shown in the pictures. I have more than one of these and so the one you receive may not exactly match the pictures but will be in the same condition.
