Route 66: Springfield, Illinois, 2 Different Unstruck FS Matchcovers

Description: Golden Bear and Heritage House in Springfield, Illinois, on US Highway 66 Here are two different flat (staple and matches removed) unstruck front strike matchcovers from businesses in Springfield, Illinois. On the left is a matchcover from the Golden Bear Pancake House with multiple locations (see second eBay picture) one of which was on South 6th Street (“Business 66”) in Springfield. On the right is a matchcover from the Heritage House Smorgasbord with multiple locations (see second eBay picture) including Route 66 South in Springfield and on Lindbergh Road in St. Louis on US 66 too. There is no glue, tape or handwriting on the inside of either matchcover. Both matchcovers are in excellent unstruck condition. I have 250 US Highway 66 matchcover auctions on eBay all with opening auction bids of just $1.00. And all of the auctions have a “Buy It Now” provision for $1.45. Such a deal! Most of my matchcovers are front strikers and all of them are flattened and ready for your album.
