Description: Listed here is one Royal Copenhagen ‘Blue Flower, curved’ dinner plate, #1621. This pattern is one of the earliest patterns produced by Royal Copenhagen, which is famous for their cobalt blue and white porcelain. The plate was hand-painted, and within the pattern, each plate has subtle variations in design adding to their uniqueness. This plate was produced in the early 1960s and was marked as ‘second’ quality (scratch through the glaze over the wavy lines on back). I noted several blue dots on the front and back that could have caused a second quality classification. The plate has been used, but there are no cracks, chips or crazing. There are some minor use or stacking scratches that are visible, however none of the use marks are obvious except under close examination. Please see the photos as I have tried to capture any flaws. Note that there are window reflections and shadow areas visible in the photos where I tried to capture scratching, etc, that were visible in photos only under those conditions. The plate is 10 inches in diameter, and 1 3/8 inches high to the rim. (o)
