Royal Quiet De Luxe (Deluxe) / QDL Typewriter w/ Carrying Case, working

Description: Old Royal mechanical writing machine / typewriter. Used / loved, so some scuffs, corrosion, etc., but presents in fine shape for the vintage. New ribbon installed on metal spools it had when found. Tested as best I know and all the functions seem to be working fine. Rubber has hardened a bit, consistent with the vintage. Smells like a typewriter, but not too bad. No paperwork or key. Case has scuffs, wear, etc. There's a bit of corrosion / rust on the metal parts and some of the vinyl is coming up. I am enthusiastic about typewriters, but by no means an expert or professional repair person. Pictures of the typeface can be seen in the gallery as well as a tight shot of the serial number. All pictures were taken outside in natural light and are a big part of the description. Please review them carefully, use the zoom, and make sure this machine will work for you.
