Description: For sale is a purple & gold footed tea cup and saucer set by Royal Sealy China. The cup interior features a bright orchid with flowers ranging from blush to garnet and accented with green leaves. The center well of the saucer has a simple flower bud. The scalloped-edge cup and saucer are finished in soft purple with a thin gold band and edging details. Both pieces are in good condition having served as display items. The cup has several manufacturing flaws including dark dot on exterior (photograph 12) and more on the exterior rim. There appears to be a small, partially glazed fleabite on the cup exterior; both marks are possibly stilt marks from kiln. There is light shelf wear on bottom. Both the cup and saucer are marked with Royal Sealy logo. Made in Japan.
