The Bowers Mansion was built in 1863 and is located between Reno and Carson City, Nevada. Owned by Lemuel Sandy Bowers and wife, Eilley Orrum Bowers, it is a prime example of homes built by the new millionaires of the Comstock Lode Mining boom. Photo is circa 1930s and is a photo reprint of a photograph taken in the 1860s or 1870s when the mansion was at his peak of popularity.
