Description: MEASURES:Height: 1,77 inch ; Diameter: 18,9 inch ; Weight: 8,66 lbsCONDITIONS:Excellent general condition. Description of the object:Fabulous, enormous plate, made of enameled, vitrified ceramic, and entirely hand-decorated, made by the Royal School of Avellino factory in Italy around 1920, signed on the back. Plate in full Futurist style, as can be seen from the clear and rather dark colours, such as the mustard background, or from the dark black used, as well as the floral wreaths rich in curls, or the simplicity of the figures in the swirl, on a black background or even, finally, from the decorations on the edge, made up of various pairs of symmetrical stylised ibex, placed one behind the other, all classic elements of the Futurist ceramics of the Roman secession. In the Girello a classical scene is depicted, with an image from Greek mythology, in our opinion it is the Goddess of the dawn Eos, the goddess of dawn responsible for opening the gates of paradise to let the sun in, or Nike, the goddess of victory, also called the Winged Victory, depicted while kidnapping Titon. Excellent condition and excellent measurements, the object is really very large, we are talking about a diameter of 48 centimeters for a weight of almost 4 kg, an undoubtedly imposing plate. Finally, the ceramic biscuit is often excellent and the patina that covers the object is excellent.Useful information for the evaluation of the object:Immediately below this description, we have placed a vase, made by the same italian manufacturer, quoted € 1,300 - € 1,500 to give an idea of the value of the ceramics made by the Royal School of Avellino. Consider that we are talking about a starting price, a price that could easily increase during its course, furthermore we are talking about a rather dated auction price, from 2008, which compared to today, considering inflation, would undoubtedly be much higher. Furthermore, our plate is, in our opinion, much more beautiful than the vase brought as an example, in addition to being much larger. We have not been able to find other objects of this manufacture, and above all nothing similar to our plate, this is because the artistic production of the manufacture is extremely limited, and it is very rare to find similar ceramics, especially of such beauty and of such dimensions. As proof of the value of these ceramics, we have placed, in the last photo immediately below this description, an article in which it is discussed the donation by Professor Orsola Tarantino, of 6 artifacts of the Royal School of Ceramics of Avellino, to the Civic Museum of Avellino, this to give an idea of the rarity and importance of these ceramics. A real gem for art lovers and collectors.Information about the artist and/or manufacturer: Founded in 1882 as an evening school of applied arts, in 1905 it became the School of Arts and Crafts and lessons began to take place during the day and in 1924 it became the Royal School of Art for Ceramics. In the last photo, immediately below this description, we have put some additional information on the manufacturing for those who want to learn more. ENTER OUR EBAY SHOPPORCELAINS, CERAMICS, TERRACOTTE, BRONZE, PAINTINGS, FURNITURE, GLASS AND MUCH MORE AS, FOR EXAMPLE: OUR COMMERCIAL POLICYAware of operating in the eBay market, our prices are often lower than the real value of the object, as often documented in our descriptions, and also lower than the prices at which very similar objects are offered on other online art sales platforms and antiques. At the same time, eBay reciprocates with the possibility of selling a high quantity of objects, so our commercial policy is to earn little for the single object, but sell a lot and therefore earn on the quantity. In fact, the asking price is always as low as possible, considering how much the item was paid for and the eBay commissions (for the sale, payment and any currency exchange: from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 21% , according to the country in which the advertisement was made). For each object there may be multiple advertisements in different countries: USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, etc. Any price differences are due only to changes in the exchange rate of the various currencies between when we made the advertisement and when you see it. REMEMBER TO PUT ME IN THE FOLLOWING SELLERS LISTFor any additional information or clarification we are at your complete disposal, so contact us via message here on eBay. SHIPPING WORLDWIDE - RETURN ALWAYS ACCEPTEDThe cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping cost, and everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost. OUR SHIPMENTS:.Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
