Its dual tamper function provides comprehensive tamper detection for both wall and cover tampering. Installation is straightforward, with the transmitter typically affixed to the stationary surface of an opening and the magnet to the door or window. The reed switch inside the detector creates a secured condition when the door or window is closed, triggering an open signal to the control panel when breached while the system is armed. The sensor's longevity is impressive, powered by a single lithium battery capable of lasting up to four years. Additionally, it transmits regular check-in signals containing vital system information, ensuring continuous monitoring and peace of mind.
