This exquisite porcelain was produced in the Lomonosov Porcelain factory founded in 1744 to produce china for the Russian court. In the 19th century The Imperial Porcelain started to sell porcelain to the general public. In the 1925 , after the Russian Revolution, the factory was renamed in honor of the acclaimed 18th century scholar Mikhail Lomonosov, founder of Moscow State University. Gorgeous plate!
